Our tools are developed using recognised veterinary reference sources and practitioner-led content, with a focus on animal welfare, clinical safety, and real-world usability. VetAssist is designed to support veterinarians and pet owners with preparation and understanding, while keeping clinical responsibility firmly with the attending vet.
Why trust VetAssist?
VetAssist is built on a large language model with broad, general medical knowledge, which is then constrained and guided using open-source veterinary literature, structured educational content from the WVS Academy, and material developed and reviewed by our internal clinical team. It is continuously being updated and improved.
Its outputs are overseen by an expert clinical governance board including many experienced vets and specialists, with continuous ongoing review to ensure relevance, safety, and alignment with current best practice.
The system is deliberately configured to prevent self-learning from user inputs, reducing the risk of corruption or unintended drift over time.
VetAssist Pro is designed as a clinical support tool, not a source of definitive answers or instructions, and we explicitly encourage veterinary professionals to apply their own judgement and experience to every case.
Users are also encouraged to flag any concerns or unexpected outputs immediately, enabling rapid review and continuous improvement.
